A study in symmetry, shadow, and forgotten power, this black and white photograph reimagines the early 20th-century Taccani Power Station at Trezzo sull’Adda through the lens of memory and erosion. The Gothic-revival facade is abstracted into stark forms and textures against the quiet flow of the Adda River.

Commissioned in 1906 by Cristoforo Benigno Crespi and designed by Gaetano Moretti, the plant was meant to harmonise with the nearby ruins of Visconti Castle. It remains a rare example of industrial architecture shaped by aesthetic ideals.

Stripped of colour, the image explores endurance and isolation—a monument to vanished industry. Moss-laced stone and silent windows reflect in the river below.
